WELCOME
Mole Valley Bowmen were founded in March 1974 in Leatherhead, Surrey. Originally with just 12 members, the club has seen a steady increase and now hovers around the 40 mark. Based in Leatherhead until 2005, Mole Valley Bowmen (or MVB) now shoot in Dorking.
The favoured bow at the club tends to be recurve, however over the last few years several club archers have been adding longbow to their armoury. In addition we even have a few compound bow archers.
The club has a good recreational and tournament archery mix, with many members shooting in tournaments around the country. Several club members are also part of the Surrey County Squad, with one member having also been selected to train with the National Squad and one recently selected to shoot for England in the Commonwealth Games Test Event in Delhi 2010.
We run two beginners courses during the outdoor season, one in the Spring and one in the Autumn. If you're interested have a look at the How To Join page where you'll find all the details.
MVB believe that when dealing with children and vulnerable adults, their welfare should always be of paramount importance. We are committed to providing an environment where young people can learn and participate in a sport free from harassment and abuse. All those people working with children have a moral responsibility to safeguard and promote a child's welfare. This club has therefore adopted the GNAS Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy to ensure peace of mind for both adults and children.
The 2012 Autumn beginners course details and application form are now on the "How to Join" page.
