Mole Valley Bowmen were founded in March 1974 in Leatherhead, Surrey. Originally with just 12 members, the club has seen a steady increase to about 45. Based in Leatherhead until 2005, Mole Valley Bowmen (or MVB) now shoot in Dorking.
We run two open competitions each year, the Wand and Clout in May and a double WA 720 in June. Information on these can be found via the Competitions menu.
The favoured bow at the club tends to be recurve, however over the last few years several club archers have been adding longbow to their armoury. In addition we even have a few compound bow archers.
The club has a good recreational and tournament archery mix, with many members shooting in tournaments around the country. Several club members have also been part of the Surrey County Squad.
We run two beginners courses during the outdoor season, one in the Spring and one in the Autumn. If you're interested have a look at the Join Us page where you'll find all the details.
